Renegades

The Reading Renegades were originally formed in 1985 and competed in the United Kingdom American Football Association, the Budweiser League, the Combined Gridiron League, and the British National Gridiron League before disbanding in 1990.

The club was re-formed in 2005 and joined Division 2 of the British American Football League the following year.

For the 2008 season the club changed its name to the Berkshire Renegades, and made its first appearance in the post-season play-offs in 2010.

Following the 2011 season, the club was promoted to Division 1 and immediately reached the play-offs, earning promotion to the Premiership for the 2013 season.

In 2013 the club began a Youth programme, which was supplemented by a Junior programme the following year.

After retaining Premiership status for 2015, the senior team withdrew from completion, before re-joining the league for the 2016 season, and winning the 2017 SFC-2 Championship.

The club looks to promote the sport of American Football within Berkshire and the surrounding area, as well as develop both coaches and players, many of whom are new to the sport.
