In 2008 Lightning cheered Thunder to the Division 1 National Title and promotion to the Premiership. With the new season comes a bigger challenge, better competition and a need for a larger Lightning cheer squad.

Being a cheerleader is so much more than waving your pom poms and looking great on Game Day (although we do that rather well too!) It’s about working together, supporting your friends and having fun!

As well as being a presence at both home and away games, we work hard behind the scenes baking cakes for the team, making banners and raising funds. In return we get a great social life and the knowledge that we are a part of a very special team.

We welcome cheer boys and girls of any shape size or experience. All we ask is that you are over 18 and have the right attitude. We are also keen to recruit people who want to work behind the scenes. If this sounds like something you’d like to be a part of then get in touch.
