The Sussex Thunder supports players, coaches and other parties (e.g. parents) in maximising their mental, physical and technical skills and so improving performance on a daily basis. It will help shape and deliver the next generation of American Football in Sussex, Great Britain and Europe. The Sussex Gridiron Development Association (SGDA) has been set up to aid in all of this. From the grass roots of the game (Junior Non Contact Flag Football) to the Senior Kitted side. The SGDA currently has a Thunder Junior Team, a Youth Team, a College Team (The Brighton Tsunami) and the full Senior side. The Sussex Thunder will continue to groom all levels of player from beginner to veteran and is committed to promoting the sport of American Football on a National and International level. The SGDA received modest funding from the National Football League (NFL)
